We were able to get our first live look at Dylan Brinkmann Dylan Brinkmann 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR/DB Lake Mills | 2027 State WI out of Lake Mills on Sunday. An athlete who has been a varsity impact player as a two way athlete at WR and DB. Dylan checked off the athleticism marks with his combine performance including a 4.81 40, 4.38 shuttle, 6.75 L-Drill, and a pair of 9’5″ broad jumps. But what I wanted to see was Dylan running routes vs DBs. As impressive as the numbers are, Dylan looked better in live action. Swift route runner and really good at playing the ball in the air. The kid has that instinct for understanding how to find a way to get to the football and, if he can get a hand on it, find a way to corral it into his body.

I have covered Dylan quite a bit, and a lot of his Lake Mills team this offseason. However, I haven’t been able to watch him work in person. I’m jacked up to know that is changing on Sunday. I have a feeling Dylan is going to put up great numbers in the combine and be a big time playmaker when we get to 1 on 1 battles. I’m looking forward to watching him as a route runner, and maybe we can even see him rotate over and take reps at DB too. I can’t wait to watch this kid.

A lot of these stud sophomores have one thing in common. They all make an impact on both sides of the ball. Today’s focus is on offense, but definitely consider them for more than that. Just put it up close to him and Dylan is going to find a way to reel it in. The tape shows an outstanding ability to adjust to the ball, or go and get it. He has some outstanding catches in traffic under his belt as well. Dylan does so well with his hand eye coordination and concentration. The athletic traits around those tools are also dominant. Dylan has the ability to cut on a dime with explosive lateral burst. It feels like he already knows his next move as the play is unfolding. The sophomore is an exciting two way player to keep a close eye on.
