is a classic dual-threat quarterback for Freeport. His ability to play as a runner and as a thrower from the quarterback position is excellent. As a runner, he is excellent in the QB zone read game. He has an excellent feel for when to pull the ball and run with it. He is also a good passer in the pocket who delivers a good ball to his receivers. His mechanics and footwork are solid. He also always keeps his eyes downfield at a high rate when he faces pressure from the defense. Ross is a talented player who should be in line for a big Senior year.

is a good quarterback for Freeport. He does an excellent job of sitting in the pocket and throwing the ball. He throws a good ball on in breaking routes. Routes like digs, posts, and seam routes, he knows how to throw on a rope. He is also a good athlete that moves well. He can used in the run game as well either in designed run plays or when the breaks down. Ross is a good playmaker at quarterback.

What an impressive weekend for the 2026 quarterback out of Freeport with 18 interceptions and if our notes are correct. He didn’t throw a single interception over the course of the weekend either. Ross might be on the smaller side right now at 5-foot-10 and in the 150-160 pound range but he has a live arm, good accuracy, and can place the ball where it’s needed on a rather consistent basis. We came away thoroughly impressed and definitely someone who has increased his stock in our eyes coming out of the weekend.

A top-300 player in the state for the class of 2026, Ross has a fun highlight tape that shows off his abilities as a quarterback but also his abilities to improvise. I’ll be excited to see how his arm strength and accuracy look in person. As a freshman, he threw for over 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns while also rushing for an additional four. He also earned Breakout Player of the Year from the Leader Times out in Western Pennsylvania. Did take a visit to Eastern Michigan last October as well.

is a magician in the pocket as a quarterback. His film is littered with him making spectacular plays when he faces pressure. Several times he looks like he is sacked, and he escapes to make plays. He usually then finds a wide receiver open down the field. Ross also does a good job in the pocket. He shows a good ability to throw with accuracy in the pocket. Ross should only improve going into next season and I am excited to watch his film.

stay inside the Top 300. Love seeing Ross grow into the position from a confidence perspective. Freeport is comfortable running five-wide sets, giving the keys to the offense to the sophomore passer. Thrived with the vote of confidence, Ross is a bit better an improviser than we give him credit for. Not a blazer or track star of course, but good field awareness has him making subtle moves in the pocket to out-maneuver the pass rush. Launch point mover, can extend plays to create new passing lanes. This part of Ross’s game isn’t covered much, yet deserves some ink. Continuously catching secondaries/DBs off guard with his ability to stretch the field. Ross doesn’t have a Wyoming arm, but the young man has enough juice to make Freeport an offense you have to respect at all three levels of the field with Ross at the helm. I’m not usually a fan of 11-minute tapes, yet it’s a welcomed sight coming out of a sophomore. The more quality reps the better right now.

Drew is a competitor who hasn’t backed down this season. He’s a tough prospect that has a lot of time left for positional advancement. He’s a competitor who has experienced success passing this season. He throws a nicely placed 50/50 ball with touch. Drew does a good job of not staring down his targets when surveying. He’s athletic and able to extend the play by scrambling. Ross has adequate arm strength that will only get better with time. Drew displays good timing when he decides to go downfield. He’s athletic enough to gash a defense when he decides to rush it. It will be fun watching Ross compete in the second half of the season.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m fully aware of the potential bad habits QBs can develop and form with too much 7v7 participation. I’d place in front of that argument,

, who I believe has benefited greatly from the experience. He’s had the opportunity to play with and against top-tier talent. Confidence, chemistry, timing, all areas have improved because of his offseason work, coupled with what I imagine to be work ethic when it was time to report to Freeport. Two games of tape, two games of decisiveness, confidence, like the young man has something to prove. He’s hitting open targets from various spots on the field, Ross is getting busy in the backfield too, making it tough to bring him down for sacks while also creating passing lanes/windows with his movement. This is how you climb our rankings. Excited to see him continue to work.

. Love this kid’s work ethic, love his commitment to getting better at the position. That being said, this might be the best session I’ve seen out of the young man this year. I was present for some promising 7v7 games of course, yet I want to see him perform well with college coaches present. I think

did just that. Firing the ball with confidence, with purposeful intent. Accurate strikes on out-breaking routes, a solid sign that his arm strength is getting better. I imagine the young passer went through some new drills that could have caught him off guard, hardly the case. Everyone present had good things to say about Ross afterward.
