Girard moved to inside the top 150 overall. He’s a three-year varsity starter and three-time All-Region selection at DB. He’s natural in coverage showing strong instincts and anticipation skills. Shows he can matchup with some of the top receivers in the state with good technique and route recognition. Does a good job tracking the hip of the WR and staying in phase at all three levels. Plus ball skills, he competes at the catch point to rack up PBU’s. Good ability to break down and be a reliable open field tackler while wrapping up to the ground. 2025 Defensive Back Dominic Girard Dominic Girard 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Mountain View | 2025 State AZ was the lockdown man on the outside for this Mountain View defense. He had two pass breakups on the night in addition to having a few tackles, flying around and playing fast. He took away any receiver that was guarding him, showing sound reactive athleticism and excellent mobility. He had perfect technique playing the ball through the receiver to stick his hands out at the perfect time to force the incompletion. It was an awe-inspiring night for this Toro’s secondary, and Girard was another key factor for their success.

Another Mountain View player making his presence felt on both sides of the ball, Dominic Girard Dominic Girard 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Mountain View | 2025 State AZ has some really impressive footwork on the defensive end. Even speedy wideouts have trouble getting much separation simply because he always seems to be in the right position. He’s been close enough to passes to rack up a team-leading four passes defensed. On the offensive side of things, those quick feet are constantly on full display. He has no trouble making defenders miss, yet still has the toughness to break through tackles when he needs to. Both him and Barney taking handoffs are quite a tag team that can quickly wear out defeses.
