He played as a slot receiver, where he showed an excellent ability to catch the ball. He is also good after the catch. He does a nice job of catching the ball short and making defenders miss in space. He also shows excellent speed. He easily runs past defenders when he runs deep routes. The other area he excels at is catching the ball in traffic. He also played some defensive back, and he showed good coverage skills. Giannilli is a talented slot receiver with a bright future.
