He gets downhill in a hurry and is a very strong runner, showing the ability to run straight through defenders without losing his balance. Wren also has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Through six games, he has carried the ball 126 times for 1,203 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also leads his team with 37 tackles along with four tackles for loss. Wren should be a player to continue to watch closely throughout his senior year.

He finished this past season with 209 carries for 1,498 yards and 16 touchdowns in 10 games. Wren is a strong runner who has shown the ability to keep his feet running through contact while maintaining his balance to pick up extra yards. He has also shown the speed to break away from the defense on long runs. DJ also caught one touchdown pass as a junior and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 78 tackles, four tackles for loss, and one interception which he returned for a touchdown. Wren doesn’t currently hold any offers but is a player who college coaches should keep an eye on this season.
