lit up the scoreboard in 2023 as he found the end zone 19 times and ran for 1420 yards. Patient through the hole, DJ waits for his opportunity and kicks it into second gear once he sees the lane open up. What is most impressive is DJ can make a big play out of practically nothing. When the defenders have closed in on him and it looks like there’s no path left to choose, DJ rips through a host of arm tackles and emerges in a full sprint down the sideline. Listed as a linebacker on 247, Snyder’s

DJ McClary’s versatility shines as he claims the title of the best on both sides of the football. Excelling as a linebacker and safety at 6’2 210, he displays aggression, explosiveness, and coverage skills. McClary’s additional talent as a wildcat quarterback, characterized by his physical running style, agility, and explosiveness, adds to his overall prowess and his unquestioned commitment to being whatever the Snyder Tigers need for them to win. As a standout defensive prospect in the 2025 class, his trajectory is promising, with the potential for further impact as he adds weight to his already robust frame. Committed to Penn State, McClary is poised to become one of their future great linebackers.

In maybe the most well-rounded game of any prospect this week, McCleary’s biggest impact might have been on the ground as a runner. McCleary rushed just 9 times for a whopping 245 yards and 5 touchdowns in the 42-0 victory at Hoboken. McCleary was also 7 of 14 for 107 yards passing while he also made 11 tackles and 1 tackle for loss on defense.

. As a sophomore in 2022 for Snyder, DJ did some special things that you don’t see very often. DJ may line up at the QB position, but he really made a name for himself as a runner. Rushing for 2107 yards and 25 touchdowns, DJ showed how deadly he is in open field. He is a very smooth runner and very decisive with his cutting. He is able to anticipate where the defenders will be and somehow emerge from hordes of defenders.
On the defensive side of the ball, DJ is just as impressive if not more. He was able to bring in 131 total tackles, 20.5 for a loss, and 2 sacks. He is playing at such a high level that you can see a huge discrepancy between himself and the players he’s lining up against. DJ may possibly be one of the best players coming out of NJ in 2025. He is an unreal athlete, and was truly born to play football. Receiving offers from big name programs such as Oregon, Minnesota, Illinois and Virginia Tech, other schools better reach out soon before they miss out on one of the best.
