One of the fastest-rising metro-Atlanta defensive backs in the 2026 class, McLendon brings a lengthy 6-foot-0 175-pound frame along with above-average speed, instincts, and ball skills. A physical defensive back who can also make a secure tackle, it’s easy to see the potential that McLendon brings to the table. He’s a promising cover corner with a versatile skill set that should allow him to play in multiple spots at the next level. He’s already seen big offers come his way, and he earned a new one this week from Kansas. So far this season, McLendon has made 26 tackles through four games along with three pass deflections and two forced fumbles. He’s ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 54 overall prospect in the state for the 2026 class.
