Burks is already one of the top corners in the state regardless of class and really exploded this off-season. He is a long and rangy player with natural ball skills, excels in man coverage and has a quick trigger on the perimeter when coming down in run support. Burks shows he is very fluid in transition and has recovery length and speed and is a technically sound player especially for his age. He already holds offers from ASU, Cal, North Carolina, Sac State and UTSA.

Burks debuts in the PRZ 2028 rankings at #41 overall and the #14 DB in a deep class of secondary players. He’s a highly instinctive CB with a fast trigger breaking on the ball and explosive plant and drive ability. At 6’1” 170 lbs. he combines ideal length and twitchy athleticism, allowing him to close space rapidly and make plays on the ball. He’s aggressive without being out of control, showing calculated movement, footwork, and technique. Displays good anticipation skills, timing, and angles when breaking on the ball. Not afraid to come downhill and deliver contact as a tackler. He’s physical and reliable in the open field consistently breaking down and wrapping up to the ground. High level competitor with great tools to build on as he progresses. Impressive first off season for him pulling in five D1 offers with three P4 programs coming in most recently.
