quietly put together a stellar season at Woodbridge, finishing with over 1,900 passing yards and 23 touchdowns. This dual-threat quarterback showcased his ability to dominate as both a passer and a runner, proving he could attack defenses at all field levels. Despite his production, Anderson remains uncommitted, though he’s drawn interest from several Division I programs.
As a passer, Anderson stands out for his deep-ball accuracy. He consistently places the ball where receivers can catch it in stride and create yards afterward. His ability to precision attack the middle of the field adds another layer to his skill set, making him one of New Jersey’s more complete quarterbacks. However, Anderson’s tendency to hold the ball too long under pressure has led to some missed opportunities. That said, his ability to escape the rush and turn broken plays into 20- or 30-yard gains with his legs is a testament to his athleticism and creativity.
At 6’2”, Anderson has the size and skill set to compete at the Division I level. Yet, with no offers, his recruitment remains a mystery. As the transfer portal reshapes rosters across the country, it will be intriguing to see which program takes a chance on this talented playmaker. Anderson’s combination of arm talent, mobility, and ability to perform off-script makes him a quarterback with significant upside—and a potential steal for the right college program.

stood tall for Woodbridge in this matchup, showing he can be a consistent dual threat at 5’11”, 175 pounds. He kept the offense moving from the start, using his arms and legs to keep drives alive. Anderson tossed two touchdown passes in the first half, proving he can be accurate and operate within the offense’s rhythm. What truly set him apart, though, was his mobility. Midway through the third quarter, he broke off a 25-yard touchdown run on a beautifully executed option play, using a convincing fake to fool the defense. Anderson’s ability to make plays in the air and on the ground made him a crucial factor for Woodbridge in this game.

is always a play away from making a jaw dropping pass or run. The Woodbridge QB is extremely agile and is equipped with quick acceleration, requiring an athlete to mirror him all game.
The 2025 QB had quite the junior season, throwing for 1750 yards and 21 touchdowns. Derek can deliver a dime deep downfield. He can put power behind the ball and sneak it into a tight window, or add a little float to the ball and get it over coverage and into the hands of his receiver. This is a QB every opponent needs to worry about next fall.

has been lighting it up this season. With 17 touchdowns and 1359 yards through the air, Derek has really impressed us so far this fall. Derek is another NJ QB that teams need to worry when he tucks it and runs. He has the ability to read the defense and take off with it when an opportunity arises.
As a thrower, Derek has been very impressive with his arm strength and ability to get the ball to the sideline quickly. He has a quick release and can accurately throw on the run. Pay attention to how Derek handles zone coverage, he can easily dissect the defense, split the defenders, and find an open target.

Having a fine season of his own, Anderson was a big part of Woodbridge’s clean sweep of their two cross-town rivals this year. In, literally, a perfect game the quarterback Anderson might have just been 9 of 9 passing; however, those 9 completions went for 281 yards and 6 of the 9 passes went for touchdown strikes. Anderson has now thrown 15 touchdowns to just 1 interception this year.
