Dereion is having an excellent Junior season in 2024. His outstanding play has helped the La Salle Lancers to an 8-2 record where they have held opposing offenses to 15.2 points per game. He plays as a DT. Against the pass, he shows good burst off the ball and possesses quick hands as he disengages from the OG. He shows very good play speed in pursuit before forcing the QB to pass the ball earlier than anticipated leading to an incompletion. Against the run, he displays good use of hands and play strength as he defeats the attempted block of the OG. He plays with great instincts taking good angles in pursuit and makes the tackle behind the LOS for a TFL.
