A running back prospect with previous ties to Freedom HS. Can’t find much on Johnson in terms of a Twitter, not sure what his measurables are looking like. Caught my attention at the Bethlehem Catholic game in which he ran for about 35-40 yards.
On our watch list ever since then, scheduled to be ranked so long as he puts forth an end-of-season tape. Carries a build suitable for linebacker play at this level. Johnson’s mid-season tape doesn’t provide much in terms of flare. You can count on Johnson to run downhill between the tackles in light or heavy sets. You can count on Johnson to drag his first tackler a few yards, carries a ton of forward momentum. A run-stuffing backer too. Although Johnson’s mid-season tape doesn’t wow in terms of highlights, I’d recommend coaches interested to take a look at his Dieruff tape on Hudl. Two touchdowns scored via direct snaps in the backfield. Johnson’s full-season tape will likely impress once it adds this game’s reps.
