IC Catholic’s Dennis Mandala Dennis Mandala 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Ic Catholic | 2024 State IL put together a dominant career, going 36-6 with nearly 7,000 passing yards and 80 TDs. Dennis might not fit the size requirements for some teams, but a team that takes a chance on him is going to get a baller. The senior’s tape shows a QB in complete control of the offense. As a passer, Dennis is poised under pressure, has a quick release, and he is able to place the ball accurately all over the field while in rhythm, under pressure, or on the move. Mandala’s quick feet allow him to instantly set and throw. Add in a solid dual threat ability when needed and you get a QB that has traits to continue to mold at the next level. Give him a look.

Mandala has been putting on a show all season, turning heads as Immaculate Conception continues to roll. The Texas A&M commit had a big night against Marist, throwing for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns against Marist. Mandala added 47 yards on the ground, as the senior quarterback showcased his athleticism and big arm all night. He found multiple targets throughout the game, and did enough with his legs to secure the victory. IC Catholic is highly talented, and Mandala is the one who makes it all click for the Knights. Mandala is a 5’10, 170 lbs quarterback who led ICCP to their state title last season. His greatest attribute is his accuracy, as Mandala showcased the ability to make a variety of throws that impressed. He has the arm strength to push the ball down field and has some of the best touch on level 2 and level 3 throws that we have seen. He is accurate on the run and can squeeze the ball into tight windows. Mandala appears to always make the right read, taking what the defense gives him and getting the ball to his playmakers in space. Heading into his senior season, Mandala should light up the scoreboard, and stat sheet, with his mind and talent at quarterback.

2022 Season Stats:2651 Passing Yards – 67% Completion – 109 Rushing Yards – 38 Total TouchdownsrnDennis Mandala is another quarterback who enjoyed a big-time season in 2022. Throwing for a big 2651 passing yards throughout a football season is no easy feat. What’s more impressive than that is Dennis completed his passes at a very high clip throughout the season. Between these two stats alone, it is clear that Dennis can drive his offense down the field and not force the ball into bad situations. Dennis also accounted for almost 40 touchdowns over the season. Looking at his stat line, Dennis was good for almost three touchdowns a game, making him the major player in his team’s success. Dennis moves with poise in the pocket and has no problem setting up his receivers with easy passes. From everything I have seen from Dennis, I am not surprised that he was named a member of the 2022 3A All-State Team. With a big off-season, I am sure that Dennis is going to set himself up for another big season this year.

Mr. Mandala is at the helm of this dominant offensive attack and finished the game 10/17 for 200 yards with 4 passing TDs, 1 INT, 6 carries for 73 yards and 1 rushing TD. Talk about a stat line for the young gunslinger showcasing his dual threat abilities. When he runs the option, he uses his foot quicks to burst through the line of scrimmage to stay ahead of the sticks and was able to break a long run in the 4th for 6 late in the game. In terms of his passing ability, he can stand strong in the pocket to get the ball off under pressure to keep the chains moving by adding a touch on level 3 throws. What’s equally as impressive is how he can make throws in tight windows between two defenders as he threads the needle to keep the chains moving. Keep an eye on this young man next fall.
