Maffey possesses one of the more intriguing developmental frames among Southern Nevada’s 2027 offensive linemen. His length and athleticism provide a strong foundation for future growth as he continues to add strength and mass. He moves well in space and has the mobility necessary to be effective in both zone and gap schemes. Maffey also brings an aggressive mentality that shows up consistently when finishing blocks. As his body continues to mature, his recruiting stock could rise significantly.

Maffey impressed with his physicality and willingness to finish blocks through the whistle. He plays with a strong anchor, holding his ground effectively against bull rushers during camp competition. His initial punch is firm, allowing him to dictate reps early and maintain control. Continued development in lateral quickness could elevate him into a dominant presence up front.

Maffey was added to the 2027 OL rankings after putting together a strong showing at OT in his sophomore season with Clark. He’s an agile mover from his LT spot that can move laterally and stay in front of oncoming rushers off the edge. Would like to see him be more physical and assertive when engaging defenders particularly with his hands and initial punch at the POA. Maffey’s an offensive lineman to keep an eye on for continued development this fall.
