About Dawson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say I am a physical receiver who likes to go up and come down with those 50/50 balls, but could also run short routes such as slants and get that big first down/big play needed at any point in the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would say I am a kind person who always tries to include everybody in activities when I have the chance to, I lift up my teammates and classmates when they need help or are struggling just as they would do to me as well.I strive to be the best Athlete and Scholar that I can be by putting countless hours into studying for a test or watching film, and putting in hours in the gym and the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in National Honor Society, Pep Club and Spanish Club

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have many qualities I have developed, such as leadership with being named a team captain for our football team (Sibley-Ocheyedan) for the 2023-2024 football season. Another quality I have developed is teamwork with my teammates on and off of the football field, communicating with coaches and players so we can become better. I also have over 70 hours of community service going into my Junior Year

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many significant challenges such as overcoming our history of losing football games over the past decade. My teammates, coaches, and I have worked hard on the field, in the weight room, in the gym, and in the film room, ensuring that we can become our best possible selves and possibly change the culture of Sibley-Ocheyedan around in the future.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college or university where I can participate and compete in sports, but also a college with a good academic program for my intended majors.

At 6’2″ and 190-pounds, Kreykes looks more like a tight end split out wide than a receiver at times, but he still moves like a wideout. With quick feet and long arms, Kreykes operates like a true X-receiver, serving as his quarterback’s deep threat and averaging 19.8 yards per reception in 2024.
