In an otherwise difficult season at Roosevelt, Brooks Jr.’s performance provided hope that the future would be brighter. The sophomore recorded 19.5 tackles, 18 of which were of the solo variety. He posted 3.0 tackles for loss. He also picked off a pass and was credited with five passes defended. We can witness how Brooks Jr. gets the job done when watching his 10th-grade highlight video. He’s a well-rounded corner capable of playing multiple forms of coverage. Brooks Jr. can press with some pop and quick recovery time. When he’s off, the back pedal his smooth and the break on the ball fast. The foundation is here for a lot of future production in the secondary.
