is a talented WR from Rain we have coming in as our #2 WR and #11 overall player in the state.
“At 6’2 200, Blackmon is a massive receiving threat who plays with a ton of speed and physicality out wide. Blackmon is a talented route runner who gains tons of separation downfield and does a great job using his hands and body control to secure some impressive receptions.
Blackmon is terrific at using his size to physically dominate DBs. He towers over them and has a great catch radius, strong hands, and great contact balance. I was left super impressed with Blackmon’s freshman tape- he’s a huge threat out wide who will only keep getting better over these next few years.“
Blackmon is a dominant WR who’s picked up a fair amount of P4 interest. It’s fair to expect him to keep picking up more- he’s a seriously talented WR with a ton to offer at the next level. Make sure you watch some of his film below:

Basketball athlete. Far beyond his years physically. Mismatch threat down the field, tracks the ball well over his shoulder. Evidence of making last-minute adjustments to catch the ball. Not phased by contact in the route process, hard to run through him. Could outgrow WR and become a Boyd/Agyemang type TE. Would offer rare playmaking skills at TE if he eventually fills into that spot.

Here is my recent note on Blackmon:
“Darryl Blackmon is a traitsy prospect with the tools and traits to develop into a premier prospect out of Alabama in the 2028 class. Blackmon measures in beyond his years, around 6’3 200, and doubles as a basketball prospect. He is a tough matchup vertically and is willing to fight for position with smaller defenders. He is still growing into his body and developing that initial twitch, but he builds up to a top speed that lifts off from defenders. He already holds FBS offers, including a P4 offer from Arkansas. This is shaping up to be a fun recruitment.”
