He diagnoses run plays quickly and wastes no steps attacking the line of scrimmage. Goode’s tackling technique is clean—he wraps, drives his feet, and finishes with power. His lateral movement is impressive, allowing him to scrape over the top and chase plays to the sideline. He also shows flashes of comfort in coverage, especially sitting in underneath zones. With his motor and toughness, Goode has the traits of a future defensive leader.

Goode is an athletic LB who can cover tons of ground and come up with huge stops against the run and pass nearly every snap. I’m really impressed with Goode’s instincts and how well he plays in pursuit- he’s quick to identify plays and works across the length of the field to come up with stops.

Goode is an impressive tackler as well- he gets low, wraps up, and doesn’t allow for any extra yards after making first contact. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Goode can do over the next few years- he plays with a ton of hustle and has a high football IQ already, it’ll be exciting to keep tabs on him this fall.
