I bring a dynamic mix of athleticism, intelligence, and leadership to the field. I play with poise, creativity, and confidence capable of making plays with both my arm and my legs. I embrace the responsibility of breaking barriers and leading by example, showing that I can command the offense, read defenses, and deliver in big moments. My style is about being a playmaker while staying composed.

As a quarterback, my mentality is built around leadership, composure, and preparation. I thrive under pressure, stay calm in crucial moments, and take pride in elevating those around me. I’m competitive, confident, and always studying the game to improve. I believe in accountability, quick decision-making, and being the steady presence my team can count on no matter the situation.

Darnell Burnside Jr Darnell Burnside Jr Darnell Burnside Jr 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Tates Creek | 2026 State KY is my top returning quarterback in the city of Lexington for this upcoming season. He had a strong junior year, completing 93/166 passes for 1,369 yards, 17 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 10 games. Burnside throws an impressive deep ball, showing the arm strength to stretch the field and touch to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also shown a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Darnell also finished last season with 43 carries for 167 yards and a touchdown. Burnside doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should keep an eye on heading into his senior year.
