2028 Capital DB Darius Thomas is a player who may have been overlooked at times last season simply because of the amount of talent surrounding him in the Cougars’ secondary, which should begin to change this fall. Thomas was a quality player as a sophomore in his own right and now returns as one of the few returning starters for Capital heading into the season. While he may not have the biggest frame in the class, I liked what I saw from him on film. With a larger spotlight and increased responsibility in the secondary this season, Thomas feels like a strong candidate to put together a breakout junior campaign and establish himself as one of the better defensive backs in the 2028 class.
