I agree that at 6′ 190 lbs the 2027 LB out of Darlington could be labeled as undersized. But I can’t say I have seen it drag his game down. Despite that size disadvantage, Dante is a monster between the tackles. He is so twitchy and explosive through traffic, making it extremely tough for OL to get hands on him. No question, the 2027 has the ruggedness and toughness necessary to handle the physical responsibility of the position. Dante has excellent range to be able to blitz effectively from inside or outside. Plus he plays with the athleticism that you expect to see from a safety, which could be where his future home is at. The small school standout definitely needs to be on college coaches’ radars.

Talk about a Swiss Army knife. Dante can and did do it all for Darlington. He carried the ball a few times, caught a couple passes, and was a hunter on defense. Dante has a powerful frame. It fits the RB position really well and has more of that hybrid look of a S/LB. Loaded into that frame is impressive levels of power. Power that allows him to break arm tackles and absolutely burying ball carriers when he can hit them square. Dante was so explosive at LB too. Flying out of his stance when blitzing or filling against the run. His burst got him into the backfield so easily on multiple reps too. Dante is quickly becoming a top small school two-way weapon.
