Wiebelhaus caught my attention during the Bulldogs’ victory against previously unbeaten Osage in the Class 2A state semifinals at the UNI-Dome. The junior lined up at left tackle on an offensive line that included several other talented performers. Wiebelhaus still is a little raw, but the foundation is there for future success. He’s tall with long arms and a frame capable of adding good weight and strength that would make him even more effective. Wiebelhaus shows quick and smooth feet. His athleticism is an asset, too. He hadn’t been on my radar before seeing him in Cedar Falls, but he’s firmly on it now. Colleges should also be monitoring his progress.
