About Dane

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is full of tenacity. I never give up on a play and won't back down from a challenge. I don't care how tall the receiver is that I have to guard, I'm going to make him work for every inch of the route.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play for my teammates and do what's best for my team. I will always push myself and my teammates to be the best versions of ourselves. I'm a nice kid off the field, but on the field I flip a switch and fly around. I love competing and always want to keep getting better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved as a leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and also an inductee into National Honors Society at Appleton North High School. In addition, I've have received academic honors every semester in high school with my 4.0 GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership through my position in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and being a worship leader in kids ministry at Appleton Alliance Church. I have played football, basketball, and baseball all my life and have learned the importance of teamwork, and how to interact with teammates so we can achieve a common goal. I have learned problem solving through rigorous and AP classes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My freshman year of football I got next to no playing time and it bothered me. I put in a lot of hard work during offseason through workouts in the weight room and on the field. I worked my way into a starting spot on JV my sophomore year, and played very well, and now this year I started on Varsity and got recognized as FVA Second Team All Conference Safety.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking forward to attending a college that allows me to keep pushing myself both on the football field and in the classroom. Currently, I plan to pursue a degree in Chemistry or exercise science.
