He had a strong offseason, where he added a good amount of muscle and kept his frame lean. The sophomore has it all in terms of physical traits, and I think he’ll put it together in 2026.

He offers great size, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 300 pounds with a stout frame. Gordon is lean for what he weighs, which is a great thing. The 2029 prospect is athletic, moves well, has plenty of power behind his pads and has a high football IQ.

I love watching him line up against offensive linemen in games. It isn’t even fair with the tools he possesses. Gordon is physical, but is under control, and uses his leverage well. He’s one of the better run stuffers in his class, but also offers upside as a pass rusher. He needs to polish some things up, but I love the potential.

He has an excellent frame — currently listed at 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds — without sacrificing his ability to work upfield.

He is a natural athlete that can work upfield from a variety of alignments along the defensive line, generating pressures or tracking down ball carriers.

He has shown solid leg drive and the ability to take up multiple blocks to free his defensive ends up for isolated matchups. As he continues to improve his game and body, this will only become a stronger aspect of his game.

As he refines his technical ability and becomes more violent at the point of attack, he is a defensive line prospect that could see more colleges begin to come his way.

The one area that I may have concerns about Red Bank this year is up front in the trenches, so that means someone like Gordon must be a consistent force week in and week out for the Lions to be successful. This sophomore big man has generated good buzz this off-season on the recruiting trail, landing several big offers, so I’m expecting a big year out of Gordon and his Lions team will need it. What Gordon brings to the field is a nice mix of athleticism, physicality and size that can be used to cause damage in the middle of the line. The Lions defensive tackle is an X-Factor performer up front that can be a game changer that opposing O-line’s have a tough time with but Gordon must live up to the hype to see the Lions put out a top level defense on the field every week.
