Porras caught 56 passes for 1129 yards with 13 touchdowns for Downey this season. He also returned four interceptions for touchdowns on defense.

Arizona, Oklahoma State, Purdue and UCLA also offered Porras among others. Porras is one of three players from California in Downey’s 2027 recruiting class and the first receiver.

Porras, a 5-10, 155-pound three-star wideout with offers from UCLA and Nevada, is a speed demon known for his quick routes and yards-after-catch elusiveness. Back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons as a underclassman highlight his production, with strengths in his burst off the line, precise route-running, and ability to create separation in short-to-intermediate areas. His agility makes him a nightmare in space, but his smaller stature is a weakness—he can be jammed by physical corners and struggles in 50/50 balls against taller defenders. To exploit Wright, Porras should attack with double moves and quick slants to test Wright’s recovery speed, using his YAC prowess to turn short gains into explosives.
