He told Prep Redzone he was transferring to Downey during his performance at the Elite 11 Regional in LA but the move became official this week. Murphy has good pocket awareness and flashes good accuracy.

He has good pocket awareness and is athletic enough to make plays scrambling with his legs. His arm strength could improve but he showed some accuracy down the field and makes good decisions with the ball. He had speedy receivers at Servite and did a nice job throwing them open by leading them into open spaces. Murphy has some competition for the starting quarterback job this season and it will be interesting to see how he responds.

Murphy transferred to Servite from Mission Viejo and had a solid showing at the Battle at the Beach tournament last weekend.
The ball comes out of his hand nicely and he has solid timing with his receivers. Murphy has an offer from Georgia State.
