Yanney is in a position to make his varsity debut this season and he brings intriguing tools to the table. He’s quick in and out of his breaks, with smooth transitions that allow him to mirror receivers in man coverage. Yanney will benefit from spending another offseason in the same system, giving him familiarity with the scheme and room to improve his physicality. Adding strength will be key, but the natural athleticism is there. If he puts it all together with speed, technique, and physical development, he could emerge as one of the more versatile DBs in this class. He’s definitely an up and coming prospect to monitor.
