I was an early proponent of Dilliapree and knew it was a matter of time before the state caught on. So it’s no surprise to see him near the top of the rankings, given that he has all the intangibles of a featured back at the next level.

His frame is solid and can withstand the punishment of being the No. 1 guy. Within this frame, Dillapree’s refined footwork, lateral movement/quickness, and feel for the game allow him to be effective in space. Even against initial penetration, he has the agility to create something from nothing, which is rare for someone of his size.

In the open field, defenders face a problem that requires business decisions. He’s strong enough to mow through arm tackles and finish through contact, but he also has enough long speed to turn chunk plays into touchdowns.

Keep a close eye on Dilliapree, who received serious consideration for our top spot, and I expect him to remain in contention. You could argue he is the most advanced, well-developed player in our initial rankings. He is all of 5’11 200, built beyond his years and carrying that weight well. He is a long strider in space who is hard to catch and can develop into a quicker athlete. He is a powerful runner in space who can barrel through contact. He is a physical, smooth-paced back, and I get similar vibes to West Virginia RB Amari Latimer, whom I first watched at a similar stage in his growth.
