Barrow Jr. displays good lateral agility, solid fluidity, change of direction, balance and burst to transition, and get vertical or attack on breaks and not allow much room for separation. He knows how to read and react effectively, staying in his zone and keying his eyes on the quarterback.

Monticello’s defensive back Curtis Barrow Jr. is a true ball hawk in the secondary. Excelling in both man and zone coverage while using his speed to stick with the opposition throughout the route. His ability to stay with his man while switching his hips and reading is impressive. Showcases good fluidity and the will to make a play. Don’t be shocked if you hear his name called consistently in 2024.

Monticello 2025 defensive back standout Curtis Barrow Jr. Curtis Barrow Jr. Curtis Barrow Jr. 5'7" | 150 lbs | DB Monticello | 2025 State AR grabbed our attention early on in the camp on Sunday. The defensive standout speedster ran a time of 4.53 seconds in the 40-yard dash and that would be good enough for the third fastest time on Sunday in Little Rock. Barrow would run that after his first run, which was clocked at 4.60 seconds. Barrow improved his time and he was able to raise his stock as a prospect moving forward this offseason.

Excelling in man coverage and using his speed to stick with his man throughout the route. His ability to stay with his man while switching and reading is impressive. He’ll be locking down wide receivers in a couple of weeks.
