Cruz comes over to Franklin by way of Calvert Hall last season and slots in to strengthen the secondary. Cruz had 3 INTs last season and multiple PBUs and proved he has the potential to be a lock down ball hawking CB. Cruz has the makings of an all around complete corner. Able to play man or zone, boundary or field CB, and think he can even be a playmaker from the slot/nickel spot. Not afraid to mix it up in the run game either, Cruz will come up and throw his body around to make the tackle. Expect Mr. Fleet to be a playmaker from the secondary for Franklin HS and provide key plays and turnovers for them.
2027 it’s time! Can't wait to meet new coaches and make new relationships. Looking forward to building relationships and receiving offers !!

Fleet finished the season with three interceptions, several pass deflections, one fumble recovery, 22 total tackles, and one tackle for loss. His first two interceptions came on deep-ball lockdown coverage, showcasing his ability to stay stride-for-stride with receivers and make plays downfield. His third pick occurred in zone coverage, where he dropped back with the slot receiver, read the tip, and broke on the ball to secure the interception and set up a big return. Fleet also returned his lone fumble recovery for a touchdown, giving him two defensive scores on the season. He consistently demonstrates strong man-to-man coverage skills and does an excellent job of disrupting timing between quarterbacks and receivers.
