About Corey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game play style as physical and fearless. I can create space and I am an elusive route runner. I am also good at catching the ball in traffic. When running the ball, I am a good decision maker and I run through contact. Finally, when blocking, I don't care if someone is bigger or stronger than I am. I am physical and not scared to get my nose in the D-line.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to never let my team, family, coaches, and myself down on the field. I fight for my team and if we are up by 50 or down by 50 I have the same intensity and effort and I will leave it all on the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of Blue Crew, which is a club for athletes at Brookfield Central that involves unity and commitment. I am apart of FCA, which is a similar club for Christian Athletes. Also, I was nominated to be apart of the Wisconsin Leadership Academy.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed skills such as inclusion, good at taking coaching and good leadership. I am especially good at collaborating with my teammates to make each other better everyday. I also help young players with plays, technique, and other aspects of the task on the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I have faced was when I broke my collar bone. It was the last JV game of the season and I was having a good game and felt great about the varsity game the next day. I was running the ball down the field and a defender jumped on my neck and my shoulder broke on the ground. I could not play in the game the next day or the playoff game the following week.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a supportive environment, extracurricular opportunities, and career preparation. For sports, an electrifying environment, great team spirit, and good health and wellness focus.
