Making the transition from Haywood to 6A football has been seamless for Walker as the 6’0 dual threat quarterback has led his Red Devils team to a 5-0 start while also displaying that dynamic skill set that has him on the college radar. Walker is dangerous with the ball in his hands as he can make that easy pass but also use his speed to run past defenders and that’s exactly what he’s done thus far. Germantown is a well balanced team with several high performing prospects, so the overall numbers may not be there right now but they are good enough and Walker has the capabilities of leading this team to a possible 6A state title. He will need to continue playing at a high level to earn Mr. Football by season’s end but for the Mid-Season, he is our 6A MVP.
