Our fellow #PRZ scout Connor Jackson recently stumbled across Roush and listed him as his D1 sleeper in the 2025 class. Good physical presence at 6’4 230 that displays great football instincts. Understands tackling angles and delivers a violent blow. Good foot work and hands. Real good lean frame that has the potential to add more “good” weight.
Dual sport athlete with a 3.6 GPA at a rigorous academic school. D1 potential.

Roush is an underrated, productive DE prospect with clear FBS traits. He comes in at 6’4 230, exhibiting more than enough play strength with his current frame. He has the room to easily fill to 250+. Roush is more of a run stuffer, but he is explosive enough off the snap and plays with a high motor when getting after the QB. He uses his length and his strength to knock blockers onto their heels and sheer off contact. He does an outstanding job of setting the edge and keeping outside contain. He possesses good lateral mobility for a player at his size, settling down against playmakers on the outside and taking good angles to the ball. He is a form tackler, using his length to fully engulf the ball carrier before violently finishing plays through the dirt. He is active against the ball, using his length to bat down passes at the line and poking at the ball to force fumbles. Roush lands an FBS grade from me and still has his best football ahead of him.
