Solely do to the nature of the offense that they run, not often do I get to highlight Wing-T quarterbacks. However, Ridge did just enough passing this year for Connor McLachlan Connor McLachlan 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Ridge | 2025 State NJ to catch my attention. Before I expand upon his ability as a passer, McLachlan has shown to be a very willing blocker on toss and, as paramount as it is in a Wing-T offense, carries out his fakes with a high degree of fidelity. When McLachlan breaks the pocket, he shows a burst of speed that makes him a legitimate threat. As a passer, we see that he can deliver the ball into a tight window and get the ball out roughly 55 yards through the air vertically, allowing teammates to run under it as they blow past defenders who bit on play action. In play action situations, McLachlan shows that he is very good as a rhythm thrower and is able to get enough juice on the ball when moving backwards.
