About Connor

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Gritty & smart. I am willing to do what needs to be done for my team to succeed! This season I played L/R tackle, L/R guard, fullback, nose tackle, defensive tackle & defensive end. I also played through an injury. I had an MCL sprain during the 4th game of the season, but continued to play hard each week afterwards - including some pancakes!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am the player that will do what is best for the team. I'm willing to play anywhere on the field that the team needs me - I played 6 different positions this past season. While playing through injury, I was still working hard each week to do what I could for the team. As a sophomore starting on varsity I lead by example through my hard work and willingness to do whatever needs to be done.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently involved in the RedZone Club at school. I am an Alter Server at my church and I play travel baseball. I was Magna Cum Laude for my first year at Detroit Country Day while playing 3 sports and taking 2 honors classes. I was Summa Cum Laude my first marking period of my Sophomore year with 1 honors class.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My junior high football team had a motto - Built for Others or BFO. I have adopted this as my life motto. By living this way I am leading others on my team and in my life through my actions and service to others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I don't think anything I have faced should be considered significant. I played through an injury this season, but nothing detrimental. My schedule is pretty rigorous at school, but it is what is expected when you attend a school like Detroit Country Day.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to play for a Division 1 program.

Connor reminds me a ton of former Country Day OL/DL Cade Wilhelmi. The measurables are a little different, but their physical play is very similar. I love his footwork, punch and ability to win reps with technique. When pass setting, he stays low, stays wide and is able to move laterally with tremendous balance. In the run game, he fires off low, initiates contact and can flat-out bury weaker defensive linemen. I am extremely impressed with his highlights from 2025, and will definitely be pounding the table for him over the coming moths. I would expect a productive camp season.
