He is also a good athlete who runs well. He recently picked up an offer from Towson. I expect more offers to come his way soon.

When the play breaks down around him, he can keep his focus and still throw an accurate pass. He has excellent mechanics and footwork. The other area of strength is throwing on the run. He is good at throwing on designed sprint out passing plays. Sams has had an outstanding season. He needs one more big game to win the State Title.

I decided to give a game ball to Shane Leh Shane Leh 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB/ATH Northwestern Lehigh | 2026 State PA ‘s rival on the other sideline. Sams was a machine against Northwestern Lehigh. He threw for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns in a losing effort. He is as talented a quarterback as Leh is. He is excellent at sitting in the pocket and throwing the ball. He has good mechanics and footwork in the pocket. In a losing effort, Sams deserves a game ball.

His ability to anticipate the open and then hit the receiver in stride is impressive. I like how he throws a deep ball when he anticipates an opening. If he sees a matchup he likes with an outside receiver, he will take one step and throw it outside. An impressive recognition and ability to throw the ball. Sams also has excellent footwork and mechanics. He has the skills of an outstanding quarterback.

Sams inpressed me in the few games I seen from him and UNBRAKEABLE. His touch is impressed and he can fit the ball in several tight areas of the field. He spread the ball all over the field and was able to be patient for his reads to open up. I know Sams is a great QB prospect in the state of Pennsylvania, and he only rose his stock throughout the weekend.

Colton Sams Colton Sams 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Southern Lehigh | 2027 State PA is one of my favorite 2027 QB’s to watch. The 5’10” | 170lb QB prospect threw for nearly 3,000 yards this past season. You can also tack on the 34 TD’s. Sams consistently makes great throws in tight windows. I like watching how calm/collected he is in the pocket. I feel as if that trait helps him makes the throws he does at such a young age. Colton can also escape out of the pocket and make plays with his feet. He keeps his accuracy on the move as well. When you watch his tape you’ll see almost right away an example of that. Sams has lots of room to grow and progress as a Quarterback, but up to this point he’s done the right things to be successful! I hope he continues to grind, because I believe this is another prospect great things can happen for.
