Colin Willetts
About Colin
Expert Analysis
Herman Thomas | Prep Redzone Scout
Willetts has progressed year after year and we expect no different from him for his senior year. Last season Willetts threw for 2,245 yards and 26 touchdowns, showing his deep ball accuracy, patience in the pocket to make big throws, and ability to move and escape out of the pocket. Willetts shows dual threat capabilities and plays with physicality. You can see that he loves to compete and lets the skills do the talking. He is primed for another leap in his game and a very good senior season.

Week 5 against defending state champs Katy Paetow, Colin went 11 for 20, 176 yards passing, notching 3 touchdowns. This performance gave him a QB rating of 124.2. He shows great poise and decision making, while being able to stand tall in the pocket. Rarely do you ever see him get rattled or panic. Willetts can throw the deep ball and the quick pass for a short yardage gain, he allows for the offense to play in front of the chains the majority of the time. Colin can be deadly accurate when rolling out to the left or right and throwing on the move, even across his body. He has recently drawn interest on the recruiting front, I expect that to trend upward during the second half of the season.
