Traverso is perhaps the top unsigned defensive player in the state of Idaho and has all the tools for the safety position at the next level. He has great range, elite tackling abilities, closing speed and is a very high IQ player the flows to the ball and has natural ball skills. He shows he can cover downfield, displays fluid hips in transition with change of direction and short area twitch when recovering or breaking to the ball. He can bait quarterbacks into poor throws over the middle before breaking, and is not afraid to come in the box and take on bigger blockers, set the edge and get in the mix in the run game.

Traverso is a smooth defensive back with the ability to really impact the game by taking away the opponent’s best receiver. He has fluid hips that allow him to get in and out of breaks with ease and then has the ability to really turn errant throws into interceptions. He is a solid tackler in the open field and shows that he can really impact the game in run defense. He is not afraid to come down hill and make plays at or near the line of scrimmage.

Traverso is one of the top defensive back prospects in the state, and is a very high IQ natural instinct player with next level abilities. He is another prospect awaiting his first offer, but has recently been busy taking various trips on unofficial visits. He has visited Idaho State and Boise State so far this Spring, and should continue to see college interest come his way through his final season for the defending state champion Knights.

Traverso has excellent ball skills in the backend where he is able to constantly make plays on footballs in the air. His ability to really track the football and then catch it with soft hands allows him to be an impact defender on every snap. He has a really good understanding of the game and gets off the hash quickly whether to intercept the football or in run support. He is a player that would not be surprising if jumped up the rankings quickly after a stellar junior season for Bishop Kelly.

Traverso is one of the top safety prospects in Idaho, and is coming off a stellar Junior campaign which included yet another State Title for Bishop Kelly. He is a ball-hawking player that can cover the entire field in the back end with outstanding instincts, breaks quickly to ball carriers and pass catchers while bringing a nice thump at contact and an excellent and sound open field tackler in space. He is a very balanced player against the run and pass, and has return abilities as well in transition and should fit nicely at the FS position in college. He recently took a short trip to Boise State, and should be drawing other college interest in the coming months and through his Senior season and is a no brainer next level kid.

Traverso is a true middle of the field safety that can manage the back-end well and shuts down the deep third while also showing he loves to come up in run support and set the edge. On film, he flashes ball skills, can jump routes and make plays on the ball with return abilities and big play abilities with the ball in his hands. When dropping in the box, he shows closing speed, explodes through contact at the POA and is not afraid to take on lead blockers while showing he is a sound tackler in the flats/behind the LOS. Natural instincts, trigger ability and range make him a very intriguing prospect at the next level and he will have plenty of opportunities by the time it’s all said and done.
