Last year, I remember thinking he was a solid Division 2 prospect in terms of skill level. Last offseason and this season, he’s proved to be a step higher than that initial evaluation.rnFirst, we need to take his size and testing numbers into consideration. He’s self-listed on hudl as being 6’4″ 215 with a 4.57 40-yard dash, 11.8 100M, 405lb squat, 445 deadlift. His size alongside speed and power (that also show up on tape) make for a very gifted, talented, and skilled player.

Cody’s film shows versatility and dominance in several aspects. Whether he’s playing as an off-ball middle linebacker or more of an EDGE rusher, Cody plays at 100 miles per hour, flies to the ball, and hits like a truck. As an OLB/EDGE, he does a phenomenal job at setting the edge, and better yet, he has the athleticism and explosiveness to blow those plays up. He also has quite a bit of film in pass coverage, and he shows a lot of promise there.
