Clifford Dirkes Clifford Dirkes 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Ocean City | 2025 State NJ was a very technically sound offensive lineman. Starting with his hands, he worked to refit them on the inside of his opponent’s chest plate extremely well. His feet were outstanding, probably the best set on the event’s offensive line roster. He was able to comfortably kick step to catch up to what would be a 7 or 9 technique from his tackle position. As that wide technique would try to use speed to get to the B gap, Dirkes stayed in front of him, chest-to-chest, like it was a practice drill. I can see a bit of a nasty streak in Dirkes possibly developing too. On one rep a defender tried to go over him with a swim that left his ribs wide open. Like any offensive line coach worth his weight in salt would tell him to do, Dirkes burried his face and attacked that open oblique. Somewhere, his offensive line coach was smiling very happily.

Clifford Dirkes Clifford Dirkes 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Ocean City | 2025 State NJ was another Ocean City prospect who made the short trip up the Parkway. Dirkes did a great job all afternoon, but one one play he made he made as thoroughly impressed me as former offensive line coach. Dirkes was faced with one of the better competitor’s bull rush move. Like a page out of a textbook, Dirkes applied the anchor technique to perfection, arching his back inward, leaning appropriately, and digging in his feet. This application of the anchor technique was so effective that the defender completely stopped moving. It was so beautiful that it brought a tear to my eyes.
