is the first of two notable additions to the Durant roster after moving south from McAlester. Williamson was one of the best ball hawks in Class 5A last season. Whether he’s lined up at cornerback or further back as a centerfielder-like safety, just roaming the secondary, Williamson does a great job of tracking the ball and keeping eyes on the quarterback. Williamson had a terrific junior season and really he’s been solid over the last two seasons. He has a chance to leave no doubt that he’s one of the best DBs in Class 5A and he should be on more radars for college coaches.

Closing out this breakdown with a prospect that we’re very high on moving forward and is still flying a bit under the radar. McAlester’s

had a terrific start to his junior season and quickly became one of the top ball hawks in Class 5A. The Buffaloes obviously dealt with drama off the field during the 2024 season but as we start looking ahead to 2025, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Williamson pick up right where he left off and become that top ball hawk in the class. He really good size and length and that knack for being in the right spot at the right time, to make a play on the ball, or a play on the receiver. Either way, Williamson is a name to know.

The word “potential” comes up a lot with McAlester and some of their young players. Junior wide receiver

is another example of that. Simply put, McAlester needs new guys to step up at the wide receiver position. They lost their top five pass catchers from a production standpoint to graduation. Williamson checks a lot of the boxes from a physical standpoint. He definitely looks the part but he still hasn’t put it all together when it matters most on a Friday night, under the lights. If that moment happens this season, we think Williamson could be one of the breakout players not only in 5A football, but in the state’s 2026 class.

is the only sophomore on this breakdown and out of the five prospects listed here, he might have the highest ceiling. Williamson is listed at 6’2 and is a rangy wide receiver but while the ceiling is high for him as a prospect, he still has to go out and prove it. He has very limited varsity film to break down and the majority of the action from last fall was in sub-varsity ball. But there is plenty of room for optimism with him moving forward. McAlester loses the majority of their production at the wide receiver position and that will open the door for Williamson to be a breakout player for the Buffaloes this fall. He moves well in space and has the size and athleticism to go along with it. This fall could very well see Williamson take that next step and become one of the better wide receivers in the state’s 2026 class.Access all of Prep Redzone
