Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Aho is a developing D1 prospect at LB with good upside and potential. 6’0” 215 lbs. he’s got a well-built frame and flashes three down ability with his impact as a run stopper and zone cover guy. Constantly attacking, he plays downhill with controlled aggression and physicality. He’s violent at the POA, accelerating through contact with good leverage and forward momentum to drive ball carriers to the ground. Does a good job staying square as he scrapes to the ball and takes on blockers. Shows he can stop and stack them while not giving up ground. No offers yet but expect his recruitment to build as he gains experience and exposure.

Aho is part of a very loaded young and talented 2029 linebacker group in the WCAL, and is going to be a future star for Serra. He has the ideal size and length for the position at the FBS level and will only continue to grow and develop as a defender. Aho is a sure tackler, fluid mover in space and breaks quickly to ball carriers while able to cover downfield in man coverage and run with bigger tight ends and backs. Always flying around and near the ball, he has a bright future for the Padres and should be a household name heading into next season for Serra.

, Aho is listed as a Linebacker/Running Back but will almost certainly make the biggest impact on the defensive side of the ball. Plays the position with great quickness and has the versatility to play Inside or Outside at this point. Personally, I believe his calling will be as an Inside Linebacker. Times his blitzes very well and does a great job of defeating 1:1 blocks in close proximity. Has the power to go through the chest of a would-be blocker, but also has the quickness to dip or side step a block while simultaneously getting his shoulders back to being square to the line of scrimmage.
