Carroll was one of the first prospects to catch my eye when I arrived before prospect, strictly from an eye-test point of view. Plays on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and in the defensive secondary. I think his future is as a wide receiver that could potentially play on Saturdays at a fairly high level. Defensively, right now would put him at cornerback or safety without hesitation but after watching a few one-on-one reps on the outside, I think he’d be a better fit at safety. Lists himself at 5-foot-11, but I don’t think he’s quite that tall yet. He’s off to Smyrna High School in the fall.
