About Christopher
Expert Analysis
Amal Scott | Prep Redzone Scout
Chris has a good burst off the ball and get into the backfield quickly. He can track down plays from the backside and hold his ground against larger offensive lineman. Still working on his moves menu, but Chris has gotten better over the course of this season.

is known to cause consistent pressure and havoc on opponent quarterbacks while protecting the edge. His film displays the obvious quickness he has coming off the edge. In three games this season, he has accumulated 16 quarterback hits/pressures and 5 sacks. I’ve seen CJ perform in showcase settings and also have spoken with him several times. His character checks many boxes, and his work ethic is very high. He will do anything asked to make his team win and to improve his skill set. He takes pride in his technique and is always looking to learn more about how he can become a better athlete. He is also a very strong student in the classroom.

has CJ Talabi-Oates beat by a hair when it comes to the highest-ranking attendee in camp history. Thankfully, I got a chance to watch the two go at it live. Watching Talabi-Oates sharpen his game and spar against Mills was well worth the trip from Philly.
Defensive Line MVP. 6’2, 205, 2026 prospect who is in line to talk to important people in years to come.
Speaking on CJ’s performance at our event, I could make the case that no one prospect was as dominant as this young man, regardless of position. Mills and other OL prospects had their fair share of wins all night of course, yet there was no real answer for Talabi-Oates. I could make the case that OL were gassed a bit, due to low numbers. Could also be due to CTO’s unwavering motor. This kid brought the juice, was running/operating like a mad men all camp, first in line, first back from water. The alpha of the group, coaches working the positions thought alike. Attacks each rep with a purpose, fantastic hand usage when attacking kick-slides. One of the better get-offs present, was beating kids off the edge before OL could get their heads up. I applaud Thayer Academy’s coaching staff, they’ve got this young man fine-tuned. Great conditioning, seen ripping and swimming, utilizes his speed off the LOS to his advantage. Can dip his inside shoulder and leave OL striking the air. I’ll be tracking his off-season all the way through until training camp where he’ll put pads on for Thayer Academy as a junior.

He is ranked as the # 5 Defensive Lineman in New England in the class of 2026.
Offers: Open
Scout Analysis: Saw him compete in a live setting at our Boston, Pre Redzone Prospect Camp. He caught my eye with his intensity and attention to detail that he puts upon himself during each rep. He is a force that takes his skill set and training serious. Has a very good work ethic and was observed taking each rep with toughness and relentless effort. He is a 2026 prospect who has a skill set that is of an upperclassman level prospect. He is ahead of peers as it pertains to technique and understanding of his role as an defensive lineman to play at the next level. The young man wants to put in the work and the more he is given, the more he absorbs and instills in his game.
His 2023 summer camp performances should catch the attention of local college coaches and boost his college interest.
