is a solid linebacker who has found his way on the field more and more. He was solid during his most recent year, and he will get better in his final season with Cedartown. Johnson is a growing prospect who will look to make a name for himself, as he has done a great job of filling the gaps and hitting the player with the ball extremely hard. I am looking forward to seeing him play, as he is someone I want to see play live this season.

is a name that the state will certainly see a lot of this fall. I have covered Johnson for the past couple of years now and now Johnson has transitioned over to the linebacker position from the defensive line. Johnson has had a ton of invites for the summer, but he is narrowing it down to 3 big ones, Georgia State, Georgia Tech and Mike Jacobs Mega Camp are among Johnson’s choices. Expect Johnson to really be a big piece this fall. Linebacker will be a spot college coaches see him at with his physicality, ability and IQ on the defensive side of the ball. He’s got tremendous size and moves very, very well. He currently holds an offer from Georgia Southern. Keep eyes locked on this great talent in Johnson this season!

Georgia is home to a ton of very impressive athletes. Each year, there are over a hundred eighth-grade prospects that make the National Watch List from the Peach State. This year,

and his 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame will certainly be on there. The future Cedartown High School Tight End/Defensive End/Edge athlete looks to project to more of the Defensive Side right now, but he’s shaping up to be a can’t-miss.

. Johnson is really good-looking football prospect at 6-foot-3 and 190-pounds with a frame and a build that has future D1 written all over him. He traditionally plays a little bit of everything but he certainly looked the part as the Defensive End opposite

along the front. Finished with 4.5 total stop, 2.5 tackles for loss and forced a fumble. The forced fumble came in the second quarter as the National team was on the 10-yard line marching in, already up 14-7. Johnson came off the line unblocked and closed down on the Quarterback who was already in the paws of Peeks, forcing a fumble that was recovered by Colin Durning.

is oozing out his pores. For those who follow middle school football in Georgia, he formally had his name changed from Chris Coombs this past year and while his last name is different than last year, what he’s doing on the field is not. Playing this past season for the Cedartown Bulldogs, Johnson did a little bit of everything as a Tight End/Defensive End/Outside Linebacker. With his build and athletic ability he’s a perfect fit for the Edge position, that is becoming more and more popular on various levels of football. He has the length and strength to rush the passer and/or draw plays East and West as a Defensive End, however, at the same time he has more than enough speed to play Outside Linebacker. While I have him listed as a Defensive Lineman, I’m not totally convinced he won’t ultimately end up as a Tight End. Johnson has a huge pair of mitts that he uses to haul in passes he has no business catching. While he can certainly catch passes on the traditional intermediate routes, he can also go vertical and outmuscle Defensive Backs for 50/50 balls. Johnson is a ball player. Period.
