Chris played a great game as well and was all over the field. I was sitting near fans of Phoebus and they were making sure they knew where Chris was lining up the entire game. Chris got a key 1" target="_blank" rel="noopener" rel="nofollow">interception late in the 2nd quarter that halted a Phoebus drive that was likely ending in points. Unfortunately, Salem was unable to score as their field goal attempt was blocked as time expired in the quarter. Chris also made a critical contested catch in the 4th quarter that set up the game-tying score for Salem. It is one thing to have a very good player, and it is another if that same player can show up in critical moments and make a play for your team. Chris has committed to play at the University of Georgia, and I expect to see him in the coming years making plays on Saturday afternoons.

Salem all state linebacker Chris Cole Chris Cole 6'3" | 190 lbs | LB Salem | 2024 State VA is set to make his college commitment soon, with you guess it Georgia being the heavy favorite. It would not be surprising to me if Coach Smart and his staff nailed two of the best linebackers in the country in the same class, I mean they are coming off back to back titles. For Cole do not be surprised to see Miami make one last push as he made a visit there last month.

Depending on where you are reviewing your material, Chris Cole Chris Cole 6'3" | 190 lbs | LB Salem | 2024 State VA is either listed at number or in the top 3 for Virginia recruits. The linebacker out of Salem High School has been on the radar for many FBS schools and he is ramping up his visits come June.  He announced that he will visit Penn State, Miami, Notre Dame and Georgia next month, where he is favoring out of those four is not known yet. I would expect his commitment to come shortly after that although he may take his time with that decision, will have to see. If you haven’t watched him play yet please do, he will make it worth it.
