Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A Virginia native who has made his way down to Georgia for his junior season, Bray is a physical, productive interior defensive lineman who dominated the competition on a consistent basis last season. Bray made an eye-opening 86 tackles in 2025 to go along with 32 TFLs and 6.5 sacks. He also forced five fumbles and pressured the quarterback 30 more times, all while helping run the ball around the goal-line on offense. The thick, powerful 6-foot-1 280-pounder is likely bound for a massive junior season for Caver (GA) out in West Georgia for the 2026 season.

Bray has an offer from East Carolina. He’s a high-motor, gap disciplined interior defensive lineman whose strengths are his power and ability to play with leverage. Bray makes consistent plays at or near the line of scrimmage. He never gives up on a play and regularly fights through double-teams to make a play. Bray is strong at the point of attack, consistently holding his ground against offensive linemen. His compact frame allows him to play underneath taller lineman, enabling him to control him. Once he adds more to his pass-rush toolbox, he’ll be even more of a problem for opponents.

Izayiah’s exceptional physical presence (6’0″, 275 lbs) as a freshman has already generated significant collegiate interest. His game film showcases the impressive combination of power, agility, and stamina expected from a player excelling at both defensive tackle and fullback. He consistently demonstrates the strength to overcome double teams and make tackles. His technique, particularly his hand placement and ability to counter chop blocks, is also noteworthy. While there’s room for improvement in maintaining a lower center of gravity against stronger opponents – a common area for development in young varsity players – his overall performance is quite promising. His effectiveness in finishing blocks as a fullback is particularly impressive.
