I’m willing to say Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Chase Smith Chase Smith 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Plymouth Whitemarsh Highschool | 2025 State PA is one of the more underrated defensive backs this PA senior class has to offer. If any Colonial were to see last-minute love from FCS schools, it should/would be Chase Smith Chase Smith 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Plymouth Whitemarsh Highschool | 2025 State PA . 6’1, 170 pounds, a lock for PSACs out East, this being my opinion. Plays a lot of butt-to-the-sideline. Some coaches hate the the tech, some live by it, Chase Smith Chase Smith 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Plymouth Whitemarsh Highschool | 2025 State PA is a DB that thrives with his eyes in the backfield. Aware and alert, Smith can key passing concepts on the fly and gamble away from his assignment to disrupt or intercept passes. A confident player who has benefitted from a risky gameplay style. Is man enough to be a force coming downhill and cleaning up his flat zone. Can certainly key outside zone runs and seal off edges in run support. Breaks down in open space really well, best trait. Can handle beefier bodies and get low to tackle. Can set the tone and deliver energy boosting blows to smaller players. Can still tackle against speed. I’m a fan, likely would be a bigger name at a different school. I’ll stand on my FCS grade. Great player behind a great front seven.
