His game is built on instincts, effort and an understanding of how to attack. He is consistently around the football and is being disruptive in multiple ways. Coming off the edge, Hanna shows impressive closing ability and routinely beats ball carriers to the corner. His pursuit angles are disciplined, allowing him to finish plays behind the line of scrimmage and limit opportunities for opposing offenses. He also demonstrates good strength, using his hands to shed blocks and pursue the ball. Hanna reads plays well and rarely takes himself out of position by overpursuing. As a pass rusher, he consistently generates pressure and forces quarterbacks to speed up their decision making process. Heading into the season, Hanna has an opportunity to establish himself as one of the more productive defensive playmakers in his class.
