Strong pro-style QB that is precise and accurate to all areas of the field. At 6’1” 200 lbs. he’s got quick feet and is fluid in his drop back landing with a well-balanced throwing platform. He’s got a live arm with a compact over the top release to get the ball out on time on timing routes and when facing pressure. Places the ball well downfield, across the middle, and to the boundary with good touch, trajectory, and zip. Like his anticipation skills throwing his receivers open before they come out of their break and allowing them to run after the catch. Good pocket awareness and mobility to feel/avoid pressure while maintaining his eyes downfield for an open target. Recently picked up his first offer from Drake and looking to build on his junior season when he threw for over 2,300 yards and 15 touchdowns.

O’Byrne has put on some serious muscle since I saw him last summer and in the fall.
Consistency was a concern for O’Byrne on Sunday but when he was on, he made some of the best throws of the day. He showed serious athleticism in the speed tests.
He keeps the ball tight to his body and has a nice, high release. O’Byrne will be asked to do a lot in Tesoro’s offense next season and he has the tools to carry an offense.

O’Byrne averaged 233 yards per game with 15 touchdowns for Tesoro this season.
He showed some ability as a running quarterback later in the season so I am interested to see his speed and agility.

O’Byrne transferred from Santa Margarita to Tesoro and started the last five games for the Titans.
He threw for 188 yards per game and had eight touchdowns in just five games. He improved steadily despite playing tougher competition in league play.
O’Byrne should be one of the better quarterbacks at the event.
