With a solid showing during the 2025 Summer Camp SZN, Powers transitioned to a strong year with the 7-3 Hawks, as he proved himself to be one of the better tacklers in the state in terms of EDGE and OLB prospects. With good size and explosiveness in his game, Powers can get downhill, close quickly, and tackle well in space. He’s an effective edge and flat defender who is versatile in both run and pass defense, in large part due to his prowess as a 1v1 tackler, and does a good job of melting into his zone drops and passing off threats, communicating properly, and finding work under the correct assumption that if someone leaves, another threat is generally coming in. Plus, there’s production as a blitzer on his junior tape as well. NSIC schools should be on notice!
